Modular Naming Service (MNS) offers a robust and flexible solution that addresses the challenges of naming fragmentation. By providing a unified system for identity management, MNS enables users to manage their identities across multiple blockchains without friction. Here is a detailed guide how to claim your identity on MNS.

1. Navigate to the MNS Home page. Select the Network and connect wallet in the upper right corner (see how to connect wallet ADD LINK).

2. Start searching for an identity name.

Here you can choose between two options:

- directly proceed to the Register page to claim identity by clicking on the chosen identity from the drop-down list;

- navigate to the Search page by clicking “See all results” or hitting Enter to discover more suggestions on a typed name, filter and sort them, and after proceed to the Register page to claim identity. So let’s go through this option.

3. Click “See all results” or Enter.

4. On the Search page you can check more options provided by the system that are similar to the typed name.

  • On the left, you can filter the provided options by Category, Status, Price, and Character length. To apply filters scroll the left bar down to click “Apply filters”.
  • On the right, you can view the provided suggestions and sort them by Price, Character length, Expiration date, and Last sale.

5. You can scroll the page up and see your initial search @snowball. Click “Claim identity”. Or click on any suggested identity from the list.

6. Go through the Register page:

  • Choose Registration period by clicking “+” to increase it, and “-” to reduce.
  • Enter Referral Code if you have one and click “Submit” to apply it.
  • Check Summary info: Registration years, Estimated Network fee, Estimated total.

7. Click “Check Availability”. Checking process may take up to 30 seconds.

8. When the checking process is over, click “Claim identity”.

8. Approve the transaction in the wallet modal window.

9. See the notification in the upper right corner about the successful transaction.

10. Hooray! You’ve got your MNS identity. Congrats!

Here you can click “Share” to share your identity in X or navigate to “Your identity” page by clicking “Identity page”.
